South Africa

Most people ion the united states think that south africa might be a place they wouldnt never want to visit because they think that it is just poor people with no food or anything. But actually south africa is a very beautiful place. They have malls and stores big houses not only just big but beautiful. I hope that one day i will be able to visit south africa because its something different and interesting to do in life.

Scoliosis

When i was in the 11th grade i had to go to the doctor to get a physical thats when the doctor told me that i was showing a little sign of having a curve in my spine. So they didnt worry about it then. But the next time i went to the doctor they said that it look like my back was getting more of a curve. So i had to go to get a MRI which is a X-ray to show the curve thats in my back. They saw that i had a quite of big curve so i had to go get fitted for a back brace that i had to wear in the night. After a year they said that i wasnt really growing anymore so i didint have to wear the brace no more.

Northwest

My experience up here at northwest has been a somewhat good experience. I like the classes i think that most of the teachers or cool and are willing to help you. But its just the town that we live in. Maryville is a small town in Missouri. With not that many people. The only stores that we have is wal-mart, maurices, payless, hy-vee, dollar general....which gives the students nowhere to go shopping. We dont have a taco bell, ihop, or dennys..not a variety of food places. One movie theater that doesnt show all of the movies that come out.So i think that if they just came up with a mall they would get more students to come to school here, and keep me from going home every weekened.

My future

When I grow i have alot of plans for my life. My first goal in life is to graduate from college and get my degree in nursing so I can start my career in nursing. My other goals that I have is to get married to taht special person. Then i hope to have two kids at the most im only planning on one GIRL! I always wanted a little girl so that i could do her hair and dress her up in little pretty clothes. I want to make enough money so that i can take care of my family and help them out and give them some payback for all the tings they did for me.

Nursing

What I want to when I grow up is be a pediatrition. I want to be a pediatrition because I love kids, and I love helping them when they are not feeling good. Ever since I was little helping out with my aunts daycare i liked taking care of kids. I just seems that if you just be patient with them you can understand what they want. Then you will understand better how to understand kids. I also wanted to be a nurse also because of the good pay that they give the nurses. So when i hopefully graduate in 2011 I will be headed towards my career of being a pediatrition.

getting organized

During my first semester of college I dont think i was very organized so when it came down to having to take test or quiz. I would have to find all my notes from different parts of my bag sometimes i wouldnt be able to find somethin that i needed so i would be missing information. So I know that next semester i am going to get me a organizer so i can have all my notes together so when im taking a quiz or test i will be able to have y stuff together and be able to improve my grades.

Miss Black and gold pageant

This year I decided that i was going to be in the Miss black and gold pageant which is a scholarship pageant. The pageant has five scenes. which includes the introduction which is all of the contestanst doing some kind of skit. that relates to the theme of the pageant.the rest of the scenes are done solo. the second scene is the business scene which you dress up in business atire. the third scene was talent. My talent was Praise dancing. The fourth scene was the swimsuit scene, and the fifth was the formal scene. For each scene each contestant could pick the music that they wanted to walk to. all together i think it was a good experience even though i didnt win. :(

finals

Today i to take a final and i wasnt happy about it. My teacher gave us a study guide that is usually ment to help students understand what is going to be on the test. I study the study guide and when i got my test only about 5 things that were on the study guide were on the test. I dont think that a teacher should give you a study test if its not going to be on the test or even be related to the things that is going to be on the test.

The cost of washing

During my freshman year of college we had to pay for washing. it cost i think 1.50. for each week i was using quite bit of money to wash. so i would start just taking my clothes home. So this year we had dont have to pay for washing and neiter does the freshman and i just think that it was just so unfair to us, because we had to payed for washing. it seemed like it was just something that only the freshman had to do because last year the upper class didnt have to pay for washing still.

Washing

This is my second year at northwest missouri state universtiy. Last year I lived in phillips hall where we had like a luittle laundry mat down stairs. We could put however much detergent we thought was needed for the load. But this year i live in the suits and we have to washer on everyfloor. The washers only need about 2-3 tablespoons of detergent if you put to much more your washer will be sudsy. and will have to wash your clothes another time. I really dont like that because we only have two washing machines soit takes even more time when we have to wash one load more than once.

spongebob

Spongebob is my favorit cartoon character. he is a yellow sponge that lives under the ocean. he has a 3 friends a star fish which is named patrick. A squirel that live in a air tank and her name is Sandy. And a squid named squidward. Spongebob also has a boss named Mr.krab. He is the boss of the krusty krab where spongebob works. I really like spongebob so much because i think that he is funny and is a good friend to his friends. Even when people are mean to him like squidward spongebob is still the nicest friend that you could ever have. In my room i have just about everything that you can have that is spongebob. From under clothes to covers or jewlery. I am a big fan of spongebob and i dont think no matter how old i get i am still going to have the love for spongebob.

MY name

My Name is Destiny Tishay Fountain. Alot of people tell me that my name is unique and different. The name Destiny was made up from my DADDY. My mother told me that it was his Destiny to have a little girl. So when i was born thats what they named me. When i found out that, that was the reason i was so happy because it made me feel very special to know that i am what my father wanted out of life. I also like my name because you find very few Destiny...there name is either spelled destinee destiney or soemthin different of the sort, But mine is thee REAL destiny!!

Collge changes

My collge experience at college so far was very unexpected. My biggest thought of college was that the students would be more mature. I came up to northwest in fall 2007. i had my set of friends that i hung around. We were all coo and everything was good. two of the girls from the group i no longer associate with because of them still not being mature grown women like we are supposed to be. I hear about other peoples problems that they have about somebody that were there friends but now they think of them in a bad way, when they were just hangin out the day before. I wish that some females would grow up and be more mature so that there would be less problems.

Changing my life

I have been in church for awhile now. I got baptized when i was in the 9th grade. I thought that it was time that i turned my life over to the Lord so i could get my life together, and go to heaven. I didnt think it was going to be a easy task but i didnt think it was goin to be as hard as it is to get my life right. When i realized all of the things that you have to do, or better yet all the things that you cant do was the problem. Things that i didnt think was even wrong was in fact not apart of the things that i should be doing. I try to stay on top of doing what i supposed to do. but i get off track and have people around me that do the things that im trying to stop doing, and it keeps me going back to where i started. but hopefully i can get it together because i kno that i dont have all my life to change.

My first love

During my high school years i had boyfriends that would last for a couple of days..or maybe just a couple of weeks. But during my freshman summer i met this gentleman that lived right across the street from my mothers house. When we first met it was through my little brother which is funny to me, because he used to go over to Ronell(boyfriend) house and play basketball with him and his little nephew. I never thought that when we were friends that we together we would end up being together. But now it is 3 1/2 years later and we are now in love. We have went through hard times with each other it has been a hard task but we manage to get through it all. Hopefully this will be my husband and we will have a happy family later on in life.

managing friends

I had just wrote a essay about friendships and how to judge your friends and how to know that you are not supposed to put all of your trust into your friendships. And little do i know i have another incident just like the one i talked about in my essay. I couldnt even believe that this could happen like this cause this is somebody that called me her sister, and said she would do anything for me. But in the next breathe she would call me names and just accuse me of something that i knew wasnt true. this just made me realize that no matter what people say they are gonna belive and say whatever they want to.

Not having a opinion

This article made me feel much better knowing that not having something to say about a certain situation was ok. Even though most of the time i do have somthing to say, about something. But when it comes to events that affect our country i may not know all of the information so i dont want to say anything but my friends dont notice. Im the only one taht notices and i dont have to be ashamed of it now.

facebook addiction

This article does make me remeber how i use to before. I use to get on it everyday it seemed like i HAD to get on it or i was missing something. It also gave me a reason to take pictures which i love to do. Every event i was taking pictures or even just a andom day i wa taking pictures, just to put it on facebook. Later i had realized how much i was on there doing nothing, but looking at peoples pictures or reading a note that someone wrote. Facebook had started to take me away from school work that i needed to be done because i wanted to look at pictures or soemthing of the sort.

silly texting

I think that texting is the best thing that happened to cell phones. It helps to lower daytime mins. that are being used. And you also dont just have to buy a certain amount, you can buy unlimited for one price. Texting is still only to get simple conversations. Most people dont want to type to many pages of text if you really want to get your point across. you have to be on the phone verbally talking to somebody just in case they don't understand what you are talking about.Another good thing about texting is that you dont have to say the full words you can ake up slang words or you can put letters, and numbers together to sound like a word. For example: Somebody might write. "Go str8 2 the building" or "lol". My point is that texting is making the people in the united states more and moe lazy.

video games

I read about video game violence. The story basically said that violent video games can influence the minds of young teenage kids, Mostly males. A pschologist says that after playing for hours and hours violent video games such as Grand theft auto. They are learning violent acts such as learning how to to escape from the police, and also how to kill them. She also says that the minds of young teenagers are still developing. My belief is that a teenager has to have some interest already in violent acts, to want to play this type of game. so they game is not the only thing that could possibly influence the young mind, it's their surroundings that can influence them the most.
